Licensure For information about Licensure for Recreational Therapists in NH, contact the Office of Licensed Allied Health Professionals in Concord NH at 603-271-8389. Information can also be found at www.nh.gov/alliedhealth - the Office of Licensed Allied Health Professionals webpage, which includes RT, OT, PT, Speech, Athletic Trainers, and Respiratory Care Practitioners. ------------------------ We would like to introduce Stephany Lavallee our newest public member of the RT Governing Board! Welcome Stephany! Stephany, can you please tell me a little bit about yourself? I am a Registered Nurse. I graduated from UNH and earned an MS from UMass Amherst. In 1998 I retired from the US Army after nearly 25 years of service. Since retiring I have taught part-time for UNH. I actually was approved to serve on the Nursing Board however; legal counsel determined I was ineligible because I wasn’t employed at the time and therefore not current in practice. What are your current interests? On the personal side I enjoy yoga, gardening, reading and I am juried with the NH League of Craftsmen has a quilter. How did you get involved with the RT Governing board? I heard about the RT Board from Kathy Goode in the Governor’s office and she asked if I would be interested in serving on the RT Board. I felt that I could contribute and certainly nursing and recreational service are related. I am still learning about RT. The greatest benefit of the RT Board is to safe guard the health and welfare of the public. What now? Stephany has begun participating on the RT Governing Board. She attended our NETRA Fall conference October 5th in Bedford, NH. Please welcome her to the RT community!
